Alright, first things first, this was oddly charming despite being a horror game! It made me think of Spooky's Jump Scare Mansion... scary but endearing!
Poppy is a very endearing antagonist, and I never felt overly threatened by him despite his obvious desire to end people's lives (and his former successes). He doesn't seem to be too malicious about it either really... he just seems to want to have some fun, which I suppose isn't surprising if his spirit is stuck in a place it doesn't want to be!
The game is mostly an exploration piece, find the item that lets you move on to the next area, but there's some really good little moments interspersed within that and the whole thing is a blast from start to end! Waiting for the first jumps to begin is the best part of the whole affair though.
So, give this a look if you're a fan of silly yet scary humour and as for you, Attainable Entertainment... keep up the awesome work! =)
What was with all the unnecessary misogyny, ridiculous stereotypes and just all around women bashing in the game? That was just a complete turn off for me.
I love the humor in this game. Those scares, a couple of them really got me. I did have an issue with the opening of the drawers, that didn't take away from the game at all.
Honestly one of my new favorites! I will recommend this to all! I thoroughly enjoyed the jumpscares. Once I finished screaming, I laughed til I cried. I would love to see more like this. Thank you for a creepy and hilarious game!
This was superb. Jumpscares worked and were all in the right places. Laughs worked and again were all set up fantastically. The animation on Tall Poppy were top notch wherever he popped up from and with the sounds to match it was a total jump and laugh fest. An indie comedy horror at it's best. Well worth a play... :)
Hi! This game really have a potencial. I like this climate and secrets of the church :). I was sure it is a prototype or game in development, because it still have some bugs and glitches. The project have too much jumpscares and is weak optimised :( also I hate the blurry effect when running. Game is good, but should have more work ! I have enjoyed playing, thank you :)
I played your game and it was pretty fun! I like how you took an interesting twist with horror and implemented some comedic features to it. The game had some funny bits here and there but it can still be scary at times! For a first game I think you did a pretty good job compared to some other horror indie games I've seen in the past. Nice game and keep up the good work!

Played this for a 3 free indie horrors and i gotta say, I have quite a few mixed feelings about this game. Not quite sure how I feel about it. But I give and honest and in-depth review in my video below. Timestamp in the beginning if you wanna just skip to the review portion.
Solid input! The drawers are a relic of a past mechanic we thought about putting in. We are thinking of adding some things in the drawers in a patch. We simply didn't know what items to put in the drawers. We have no batteries or power-ups so it would be just junk which takes time (we were tight on). Plus we wanted to keep the keys and notes visible and kind of in the players face. So yeah, I agree the drawer thing is a wash. Once again, we might add some stuff to the drawers before we launch on Gamejolt, that or just simply disable it.
As for the flashlight, we experimented with different brightness and came to the conclusion that we wanted less bright light. Some people say it's to bright, some say it's to dark. Sometimes you can't please everyone.
When you died in the crypts and couldn't move, that's because it spawns you at the keys last position, we are working on a fix for that. We didn't have that issue on our end when trying to replicate it but some people do. Some people play the whole game with that not being a issue.
Most of the things you mention we already know. We released it anyways. That's the nature of the gaming industry. This was our first game so there is lots to learn from this experience. Even from the PR side of things. I could choose to bullshit you some junk or tell the truth. I choose the truth. It might come back to bite me in the ass down the road though haha.

Yeah, I realized later that i did as well lol. A subscriber pointed that out in the comments. Everything up to that point was keys, so i just assumed the thing i grabbed in the graveyard was also a key haha, my bad. Made for a funny moment near the end of the game though lol. Thanks for being so honest and straightforward about the game. I understand a lot as i myself am part of a dev team, and i can totally sympathize on most things. You're never gonna get it perfect your first go, and if i come across as harsh, just understand i play A LOT of indie horrors on the channel and everyone gets the same treatment, as fair. Although despite any feedback you may had taken as harsh, i mean only the best with my words, and i only want to see you guys improve and make better games down the line. Well, while the game gave me some chills here and there, I ended up finding the jump scares... cute in a certain way ( at least the sound effects :p ). Still, it was a fun walk overall, and I enjoyed it ^^
